A week or so before our scheduled engagement session, these two wandered into the Mason Jar where I was serving... and having not met yet, we eventually made the connection that I was in fact their wedding photographer!
What a small world.
They braved some very chilly, rainy, windy weather in the Arts District on the day of our session.
Which I think was worth it considering their wedding day was SO g or g e o u s.
So much love surrounds this couple that this was actually their third ceremony, and I am so happy that I was there to capture it!
From writing each others vows to packing me up cake to go,
Alex & Bri seriously rock.
Jake & Sarah are so sweet.
Two awesome people who very obviously compliment each other.
Beyond thrilled to have captured their beautiful day.

Line band goals.
If we want to get all technical, Mackenzie is my niece.
However, we are unique in that we are only a few years apart and got the opportunity to know each other as children/preteens/teenagers.
Even with states between us, there was plenty of time spent at Lake Michigan and even more time spent hiking sand dunes with my oldest sister and brother-in-law.
Long story short, it was my honor to capture one of the most important days of her life.
My first time at Blue Dress Barn was absolutely perfect.
Congratulations to the newly married couple, it was lovely to be a part of your big day.
I am so very happy to have met this G O R G E O U S couple.
So full of love & light, smiles & laughter.
I love lavender.
This field is seriously gorgeous.
Just like this lovely couple.
I have David largely to thank for encouraging me to go to Montana to further study photography. He is one of the first people I talked to about it, and I think he literally asked: why wouldn't you?
And so, I went. Okay, there was more thought to it but in the end I needed that push.
That being said, when David asked me to photograph his wedding... well, David does things weird. "Hey, are you going to be around in January?" I think is what he actually asked.
OF COURSE I WOULD BE AROUND.
I was dying to capture this moment.
Look at him. Have you ever seen someone so incredibly happy?
Katy is female David.
and I mean that in the best way possible.
I have thought this so many times, which made it even more perfect to hear their family and friends saying this exact thing in their toasts to the bride & groom.
They compliment each other and it is easy to see.
There is a version where the five of them are smiling, but this is so much better...
Yes, I made David wait for his bride in the snow.
So. Worth. It.
When your legs don't work like they used to before
And I can't sweep you off of your feet
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love?
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks?
And, darling, I will be loving you 'til we're 70
And, baby, my heart could still fall as hard at 23
And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe just the touch of a hand
Well, me—I fall in love with you every single day
I cannot tell you how happy I am that I f i n a l l y got to photograph this beautiful family. Not only once, but twice thanks to day light savings!

Sometimes you meet people and you just know that they are meant to be together.
Ben and Robyn are these people.
And I am beyond happy that I got to be a part of their day.
Sundance was a dream.
I love weddings. I love capturing these moments.
I mean, look how happy they are.
Some music played.
They said I do.
and then they danced.
It could not have been a more beautiful day.
That is until I saw the look on Justin's face when he saw his gorgeous bride.
And then they danced.
A little less than a year from now this gorgeous couple will be getting married!
The first time they see each other on their wedding day will be under this very bridge.
Lets just say I cannot wait.
I must be a mermaid.
I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living.
But a mermaid has no tears, and therefore she suffers much more.
Thank you beautiful mermaids.
May your friendship continue to grow as you begin your new adventures.
Look at this cutie.
Cooper was all smiles while hanging out with mom, myself, and the flowers.
Until he'd had enough.
And yet he still managed to be super adorable.
This beautiful belly will be delivering in September.
Charlie will be here in about a month, and this mom to be and her family couldn't be more excited to meet her.
Be sure to follow the blog to see newborn photographs when Charlie arrives.
Seriously, I am SO thrilled to be shooting this wedding next August!
Actually, I just can't wait to take their photos again. Keep an eye out for part 2!
